LSE INC. EXPANDS ENGINEERING STAFF

Puyallup, Washington – February 13, 2007: LeRoy Surveyors and Engineers Inc., one of Pierce County's most respected firms, has expanded operations by adding three engineers.

Mark Palmer, P.E., joined the team when LSE Inc. completed purchase of Palmer's Tacoma-based engineering firm, Essayons Consulting Engineers. A West Point graduate, Palmer combines over 20 years of experience in civil and quality assurance engineering with residential, commercial, and land development supervision. Palmer's extensive work with the Corps of Engineers, Pierce County, numerous local parks and sports facilities, and other private and public works projects will add value to LSE Inc.'s already strong engineering services. Palmer is a leading proponent of low impact development techniques, including porous asphalt and concrete pavements. At LSE, he takes the lead as the primary design engineer, and will represent the firm at public hearings and planning functions.

Damon DeRosa, P.E., is a Gonzaga University graduate and long-time Pierce County civil engineer. He most recently worked for 16 years as plan reviewer and supervisor for Pierce County PALS, and as a designer/project manager for the Public Works road design and water programs. His familiarity with county regulations will help streamline the plan submittal process and bring expertise in the realm of public works and codes. DeRosa will be instrumental in saving time for clients, as LSE aims to achieve engineering plan approvals in two reviews or less.

Doug Cooke, P.E., received his Masters in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington, and also holds an MBA from the University of Chicago. Cooke's is particularly strong in the areas of engineering, design and construction management. His career has spanned over 51 years of military, overseas, residential, utilities and public works projects. Prior to joining LSE Inc., Cooke worked for the Air Force, the Arabian American Oil Company, Thurston County Public Works and Pierce County Public Works. He will lead efforts to diversity LSE's client base by acquiring and managing public works projects for the firm.

LeRoy Surveyors and Engineers, Inc. is a full-service, multi-disciplinary firm recognized as one of the Northwest's most efficient, expert providers of private and public development services. Over the past 48 years, LSE Inc. grew from a one-man operation into a 27-person company leading the field in engineering, surveying, planning, GIS and other development consultant services.
